I'd recommend including some sort of "example report package", maybe
separate from the manual, on loose sheets which could be photocopied.
I like this idea.
For any of you who remember AmiPro (previously SamnaPro, now WordPro),
this is reminiscient of the booklet of template samples they included in
the package, which I found incredibly useful for determining which
template I actually wanted to use.
