Just to update you, the issue is still under discussion, but the figures we are discussing are about 12% higher than my hourly rate as a tech writer. (San Francisco Bay area) We are discussing a contract to perm arrangement.

To put things in perspective, I also am a subject matter expert, and I will be doing course development, as well as delivering training. Come to think of it, now I feel I need a raise.

My goal is to grow this into a manager of training and documentation position.
