Except that a field can be "updatable" without being "enterable." (As in the
case of system-maintained fields).

I don't see any problem in using "enterable" in internal programming
documentation (not in end-user publications) provided the term is precisely
defined at the outset and used with strict consistency.

On the other hand, "editable" or "user-maintainable" might serve as well.
