Your co-worker inadvertently chose to display Word full-screen and have
nothing else showing.

This "feature" (although why anyone would want it is beyond me) is accessed
via:

View > Full Screen

Have you tried pressing the ESC key or conversely shutting down word and
starting it again?

Also, check the registry keys that governs how Word displays on the screen.

Also, check to see that the "View" Full Screen option isn't selected via the
RoboHelp.DOT or Normal.DOT.

Well, I'm sure if you do a search on Google.com to find out which key
exactly governs the full screen option, you'll find more information. I had
this issue a while back, drove me nuts.

A co-worker here has a problem with Word 2000 that has us all totally
baffled. She is using Office 2000; only Word is affected by this. I'm
sure it's some weird setting (I think I've even done it accidentally
before, and just as accidentally corrected it).

When she opens Word, all she gets is the document screen. No toolbars,
no menus, no access to them. Trying to access menu options (such as
Alt+F to open the File Menu) don't work, but the Ctlr+ whatever does.
Our IT person completely uninstalled Office, reinstalled Office 97 (Word
operated correctly, but she couldn't use her Word 2000 templates which
she needs), so they installed the Office 2000 upgrade. Nothing changed.
All she can get is a blank document page. Anyone have any clues as to
what's happening? All suggestions gratefully accepted.

Thanks!!
