Bob,

One thing to definitely get clear: Who is responsible for backing up your work data on your home machine? Are you expected to do this on company time or your own? Do you have the equipment and supplies to do this? If you are no longer hooked via a dedicated setup, then you are no longer on the network backup schedule - What happens when you get a power surge at home and your hard drive goes down?

Just my two cents....

I'm working at home full-time as a writer/editor because of a disability using Sun's work station on an ISDN line. Now that my company
is facing hard times, My boss is concerned about the cost of ISDN and wants me to use my PC on a DSL line.
I asked if they would pay me something for the use of my PC
and the answer was no. I'm been a regular employee for 6 years.

I know I'm lucky to have a job and be working at home but I'm
wondering if I should push the request to be paid for use of
my PC or just be happy to donate my PC for 8 hours a day?
