It may be helpful if you started your capture process using the Paint Shop
Pro capture functionality instead of the copy/paste method you are using.
If you use the PSP capture functionality then you will know you have an
image that PSP can use.

If that doesn't fix the problem, try to save the document in another format
.tif, jpg, etc., reduce the colors and resave it in the format the you need.
