I would not join a union, as I understand the concept. I don't generally have
an adversarial relationship with management, and I've never been one to stay
with an organization where I've had a less than comfortable working
relationship with management. My solution generally is to leave a working
environment when it stops working for me (or with me as the case may be).

Perhaps it is that I would not join ANY organization whose standards are so low
as to admit me as a member. <g> Seriously, my view of unions, which I'm sure
will be challenged, is that they bring more strife and contention particularly
about petty bulls**t than they bring cooperative solutions to whatever problems
they were initially intended to address.
