Well, I work for Wright Technologies who are just finishing off a basic
version of a revolutionary new way to deal with images across the network
with the greatest of ease. The development codename is Woomera but I think
it may be marketed with a different name... speak to sales -at- wrightna -dot- com for
more info. I am just a developer :-)

It is capable of handling many thousands of images (my last test was with
12,000) as well as providing for zooming etc.

My department has a great many photos taken over the years that were
stored in boxes. They need to be scanned and cataloged so they can be
accessed by keywords.

Can anyone suggest software for this? What about Extensis?
