Beth,
My recommendation would be to learn the basics of HTML first. Laura Lemay (A
Techwhirler) has a "Learn HTML in 7 Days" book that is quite good. IMHO,
knowing the basics of HTML will allow you to focus more on Dreamweaver which
is MUCH more than just an HTML authoring tool.
And as to where to go to learn Dreamweaver - if you are considering using it
to develop Help systems, I strongly urge you to contact Ben Weisner
(www.weisner.com) and enroll in one of his seminars on Using Dreamweaver to
create Help. I sent one of my people, and it was a huge time saver as we
converted from using a HAT to using Dreamweaver to develop our HTML-based
help system.

Subject: Dreamweaver training question
Can anyone recommend a good source of training for Dreamweaver?
The best I've found so far is through the company called Grafix Training
(http://www.grafixtraining.com/). If you have tried Grafix, please tell me
how you liked it.
I figure I can learn a lot about raw HTML in the class by using
Dreamweaver's split screen and watching the code. (I need to learn all about
HTML, but my company uses Dreamweaver too, so I was thinking I could use
such a course to learn both simultaneously.) Any thoughts?
Thanks VERY much,
