Unless it's a family business, I think he should charge the COMPANY (note:
it's the company's money, not the manager's personal stash) his normal rate.
Nothing wrong with a little constructive nepotism, but he shouldn't
shortchange himself by undercutting the going rate. Subtle psychological
forces can come into play here. If the manager is hiring him for
professional work, he should be paid for professional work. The manager
should expect that.
