Another factor to keep in mind is that many jobs are posted for legal reasons, for a presecribed number of days, when the company knows full well who they are going to hire for the job. That is, the opening is effectively fictitious even if legally it exists. So being qualified, not being hired, and continuing to see the job posted means exactly nothing. Don't take it personally; this is just bureaucracy at work.
