Which brings us all back to the thread a few months back: When will there be
a TECHWR-L conference? If the STC Conference isn't the answer for everyone
on this list, then there may be some possibilities for a conference specific
to it.

Well, to start with:

- Because people might like a chance to hear about topics they're curious
about or only mildly interested in.

- Because more technical knowledge makes tech-writers more employable, and
helps them to do their jobs better.

- Because no specialty conference approaches technical subjects from the
particular viewpoint of writers.

- Because the writing and management topics are limited, and were exhausted
a long, long time ago.

- Because there's a demand (as this thread shows).
