Of course. But for my own, insatiable curiousity, would you be willing to
share your "faux pas?" I mean, the MMoS says to avoid using the word
"kludge" for a band-aide fix, and if you were asking me if it's ok to use
"kludge" in some kind of official documentation, I'd probably tell you
that's a faux pas you should stay clear of.

Care to share? Privately?
