I just had a flash, about being a new writer at Sharon's
place:

S.B-H: Well, that's the tour, and you've met everybody.
This is where you'll be sitting. Stationery cabinet is
just over there. Your phone line should be activated
before Noon. The network drop is already live.
You ready to start?"

New-kid: Um... won't I be needing a PC?

S.B-H: [Slapping forehead] Oh, of course! Sorry. [Bekons...]
Here. This is the parts and tools room. Grab what you
need and start constructing. See Angela for the software
CDs when you get that far. E-mail me when you're ready
to start earning your paycheck. Well, gotta run. Have fun.

N-k: [Now wearing a 'deer-in-the-headlights/what-have-
I-gotten-myself-into look on face] Wait a sec... I don't
see any manuals. You know, for mother-board connectors,
jumper settings, that sort of thing?

S.B-H: [Poker-faced] Manuals? They're all available on-line,
of course.

N-k: [Looking a bit pale] But... but... if they're
on-line, won't I need to ... er... um

S.B-H: [Inscrutably] Ah, Grasshopper...
