Mike...it is not only us who are having a hard time finding gigs. Recruiters
are having a hard time placing people in an environment where a company
sends out a req for a writer and 30 agencies each submit 2-3 people. They're
fighting tooth and nail for each placement. Did you know that AT&T in NJ
keeps a req open for an average of two hours? Recruiters have quotas and for
all you know, this recruiter told her manager that you were in the bag and
now she has egg on her face with her management. Remember the line in the
commercial? "Never let them see you sweat."

Was it an unprofessional response? Sure. Did you do anything wrong? No.

My response to the part about setting the project back 4 weeks? "Then you
should have placed me there 4 weeks ago.

Don't worry. Dance in the sunshine that you had two job offers and you now
have a job. Makes the weekend much sweeter, doesn't it.

"Be accurate...the 4am wakeup call you prevent could be your manager's"
