Do you know any software that *doesn't* do these things? I've had more
than a few frustrating file recover/rebuild incidents with just about every
tool I've ever used, including so-called "robust" ones like FrameMaker,
and over the years have gotten into the habit of running automatic backups
of current projects on a nightly basis.

My experience is that the crashes and corruptions are just different for
different apps, I've yet to work with one that was free of them.
