You're assuming that they have an alternative or even know of one.

Also, very few companies offer any kind of training to their end users, and very few end users are willing to invest any time and effort into learning on their own. Most people use their computers as glorified typewriters and don't even have a clue about how to use such basic timesaving features as templates and paragraph styles.
