At one place where I worked, the pubs dept. had developed a protocol for
brief interviews with developers. The writers did the interviews AFTER the
product had shipped and everyone was breathing easy. The developers'
responses were very useful, much more so than had they filled out a form in
the middle of release madness, and morale was boosted, rapport enhanced, and
all that good stuff.
