Hi folks,

I'm starting a freelance technical writing business in Illinois/USA, and I'm curious what software other freelancers use to manage functions such as:

- Accounting (e.g., invoicing, receivables, payables, federal/state/local taxes, depreciation)

I'm not from illinois, I use excel for few things (invoicing mainly). But because I don't want to care about those pesky tasks, I classify the papers and I give them to an accountant

- Customer relationships (e.g., addresses for prospects and customers, reminders for followup/appointments/events, time-tracking on projects)

2 page per day desk format agenda (from day-timer) with leather, that's the best thing I've ever use (I tried all the electronic/software stuff they are boring and never worked the way I want them to), I can bring it in camping or use it during black outs. Ok it's expensive but it will never broke or loose your data (plan few bucks a year for the refills) I could lose my computer for few days but not my agenda ...
