Okay, I'll agree to agree to disagree. I also will concede the that you should expect that the interview process won't always be "fair" and "ethical" in the abstract philosophical sense.

I would go further and say that there may be some ethical issues involved here. The true conditions and the full agenda of the interview weren't being disclosed.

legalese, but I do see some professional courtesy
issues with that. Really, why the secrecy?
Interviewing with multiple people is normal and should
be disclosed.
