Hi Adrienne,

I'm a kind of backroom person. While I do research and relationships well, I feel that I'm not that good at interviews (hey, maybe it's just my own insecurities). If I get the chance to prove that I'm really good at what I want to be hired to do so much the better.

A five sentence rewrite is no big deal at all. I might be slightly put out if what I thought was going to be a 60 minute interview suddenly had a 60 minute writing test added on without warning.

As for the other interviwee who thinks this is discriminatory, ask her to explain her case in five sentences. And then review whether or not she should be on the interview panel for this post!

Regards,
Ant

So I'm wondering, what do those of you on this list think about springing
a surprise test on an interviewee? Is it terribly unfair and upsetting, or
is it a reasonable requirement?

Adrienne
