I don't think of myself as an educator, or as someone whose
mission is either to promote, preserve or overturn the state
of the English language. I am, quite frankly, a hack. My
goal is to create documents that will either persuade paying customers to buy the products I am writing about or to be sufficientlt happy about having already bought them that they'll come back for more. I am more than happy to adjust my writing style and document designs to whatever a marketing analysis of our target market determines will best accomplish that goal.
