Whew, guess you learned something, huh? You should never ask a group of Technical Writers for their opinion...*grin*

Here's mine.
My contract position was replaced by a group of non-american writers so I know there's a place out there for you.

More education isn't the answer. You may be a "Doctorate of the Universe," but it doesn't make you a better writer. At what field are you looking? Computers? Medical? Oil and Gas?

I've noticed that the Oil and Gas business is more open to non-american writers, simply because it's pretty much made up of people from around the world. Try Schlumberger, or Baker Hughes.
