If the only extra time you need to put in is during the week or two
preceding a deadline, I would consider that "during work hours,"
but that's from my perspective as someone whose work experience
has been heavily "start-up." When the extra time is needed on a
routine basis, either because of continuously overlapping deadlines
or a poorly managed development process, that's my "crash and burn"
warning light.
