Aha - I wasn't careful enough in my email.

I'm talking about printing houses, not physical in-house printers.

There would be a first run of about 3000 200-page books with cover.
Subsequent runs probably every six months. This is a SWAG, of course.

What kind of duty cycle do you need -- in other words, what would you
anticpate as normal and maximum pages-per-month outputs?

Subject: Recommended production printers?

Good morning from soon-to-be-snowy Washington DC.

My company is looking for a good production printer to work with on a
custom self-published book. They may go POD or use Lulu, but if not...

I seem to remember a few printers recommended here, but searching the
archives produces either a lot of talk about printer drivers or about
Microsoft Publisher.

Can someone point me to that discussion if it exists? Or recommend such
a printer?

Thanks,

Jessica
