Well, that's true unless the wired phone is cordless, in which case the handset (the "phone" to most people) is most likely digital.

And just for the record, first-generation mobile phones (retronymically termed 1G) were analog. The analog vs. digital distinction is valid now, but that wasn't the case while there were still 1G networks deployed.
