In the '80s, we couldn't wait to be free from workstations tied to mainframes for all applications and data.

In the '10s (now that is weird just thinking about it), we can't wait to be tying our "workstations" back to the "mainframe".

I once was forced to work for days with only one hour network access per day max (going to Panera's) due to storms that ripped up everything in the area. In cloud computing, I would have had several days of unpaid vacation.

Next thing you know, either Al Gore or Barrack Obama will claim to have invented it.

Cloud computing is already such a piece of outrageous hype; I fear that
capitalizing it will only puff it up further.

Tony,

My TW gut wants to go with the same thing. Thanks!

Follow up question - are we capitalizing Cloud? Do folks considered it a
proper name?

I say not. What say you all?
