In the current market, EVERYONE who is "just a regular sort of employee"
and doesn't have "something that someone wants badly" is looking at odds
that are greatly against them finding a direct job, at any age. A better
issue to address is how one can have years of experience and not have
developed or maintained more of "something that someone wants badly" than a
recently-out-of-school 20-something.
