iOS's robust DRM is probably one of the major reasons that there's so
much interesting music software available only for iPad. I paid $325
for my iPad and $40 for TC-11, which is absurdly cheap compared with
the weaker comparable systems available for PC and Mac.

OS X doesn't follow that design philosophy at all. Under the hood it's
UNIX. You can do whatever you want, more so than in Windows.
