I think this year people were celebrating the 100th birthday of Frank
Sinatra and he has been dead for quite some time. Don't take offense at
Facebook's message; it was an opportunity for you to fondly remember your
friend.

Subject: Facebook question

This isn't really technical writing-oriented but it is IT-related, so here
goes . . .
This morning, Facebook posted a message announcing that today is the
birthday of (name here).
Well, the named individual was the lead guitarist in my little oldies band
who passed away about two years ago (age 71) due to a bad heart and having
lived a real "rock-and-roller's" life. A great guy who knew all the stuff
that "we" remember from the 1950s, '60s, etc. And DAMN, was he good!

I realize that Facebook doesn't have a staff that pores through obituaries,
so they don't know who is and who is not here any longer.
So the question is who can I email to let them know this individual is
deceased? Surely, they can look at the past history of his Facebook account
and see that there's been no activity since his passing. And his wife will
surely vouch for this.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
