Well, I donât think that anyone who reads Steveâs comment is going to assume that he is in any way representative of the tech writing profession as a whole. Its just so over-the-top; people can spot an on-line troll when they see one, and will dismiss them accordingly.

I, who rarely post here and almost never do social media of any type, came very close to leaving a comment about this wonderful article apologizing for the comment of another technical writer. It taints us all.
It was a wonderful informative article on digital typesetting; I learned a lot and was amused. Also, the writer did something crucial to good technical writing--he knows his audience and wrote to meet their assumptions, knowledge, and understanding.
