Yes, and this reminds me of another of my PC peeves -- that
"any key to continue" business. Any key, that is, except the
Shift key, Ctrl key, Alt key...

I usually follow this convention, along with "enter <whatever>"
to mean "type <whatever>, then press the Enter key."

As others have pointed out, consistency is the important thing.
