Call for Papers

The Association of Teachers of Technical Writing (ATTW) invites you to submit
papers of interest to practioners and academics for peer review and possible

TCQ is devoted to the teaching, study, and practice of technical communication
in academic, scientific, technical, governmental, and business/industrial
fields. Essays published in TCQ are both theoretical and practical. Practical
articles have a sound basis in theory, and theoretical articles have some
industrial or pedagogical application. Articles cover a range of topics that
include pedagogy, rhetoric, linguistics, organizational communication,
business/industrial communication, intercultural communication, text design,
graphics, audience analysis, and software and hardware issues as they pertain to
technical communication.

In the last two years, we have had special issues on the following topics:
Teaching Technical Communication

The following special issues are slated for future publication:
The Rhetoric of Science (Winter 1994)
Gender Issues (Summer 1994)
Hypertext (Summer 1995)
Graphics (Summer 1996)

Our audience consists of about 1,000 members from both academia and from
