Sun Microsystems Computer Compay (SMCC) Information Products in Menlo
Park, California, is looking for a technical writer to join the
fast-paced workstation documentation group. The writer will research
and develop service and installation manuals for leading-edge
workstation products. Candidate should be a quick starter and be able
to:

* Work independently as well as with other writers
* Handle several projects at a time
* Work with engineering, editorial, and illustration teams
* Be assertive in getting information from the engineers
* Be able to assemble and disassemble a product a few times to find
out the best way to replace a part.
* Determine the purpose and organization for a manual
* Contribute to improving overall quality of Sun technical information.

Requires four or more years experience as a technical writer. Experience
in Manufacturing or Field Service, and the ability to troubleshoot is a
real plus. Unix and FrameMaker experience is highly desirable.
