One other point on web images that is a constant irritation to me...

Use of image-sizing tags are a MAJOR plus, IMHO. I don't know how other
browsers handle it, but when a page comes into WebExplorer, it will allocate
little boxes where the images are to go... then as the images come in and
their sizes are detemined, the whole document has to be reformatted to fit.
WebEx lets me scroll through a document while it's loading, but evertime it
has to reflow everything, it jumps back to the top.

Use of the width= and height= extenders within the <image> tag to specify
image size in pixels allows the browser to immediately pre-allocate the areas
that the graphics will appear in, and flow the text according right from the
start.
