Lead Technical Writer

Infospace, the leader in the Java based data access and visualization tools,
is looking for a lead technical writer to author user manuals and on-line
tutorials and to establish company  publication standards.  You will be a key
player on a dynamic team who will collaborate with the development staff to
improve product quality and interact with management to create a
documentation  production schedule.

We are looking for someone with both a college degree and significant
professional experience who can distill sophisticated technical concepts into
simple language.  Programming and product development experience are
significant advantages.  The ideal candidate will be familiar with the
publication and production process,  multi-media presentations, and
developing marketing materials.   Our  principle platforms are Windows and
UNIX but you will be able to choose  your own software packages.

This is a ground level opportunity in a  fun and dynamic startup
company  where aptitude and attitude can mean rapid technical and
professional growth. The  location is San Mateo which is midway between San
Francisco and San Jose.
