About 10 years ago, in the Letters To The Editor section of Chemical and
Engineering News (a weekly mag published by the American Chemical Society),
someone expounded on the he/she or s/he issue and suggested a term that would
also incorporate the gender-neutral "it" (as in he, she, it). The suggested
term was s/h/it. This is true--go look it up!
