Actually, there is no way to center a background image.

One possible fix (although a sloppy one) would be to enlarge the "canvas"
around the picture to full screen size and fill the rest with your chosen
background color. However, this will make the file larger and slower to
download. It will also only acheive the desired result on screens with the
same resolution.
