Hallo:

I feel the need to add:

A large company could care less of one or several or all tech
writers
threatened to quit. Bomardier is huge. Besides, IMHO, you flush all
credibility with such a threat, if they don't can you as a security
threat.
I'd just start looking and, after finding *and* being offered a job,
resign.
At that point, the original company can consider the threat to quit
and act
as it sees fit . . . which, at such a company, might involve
security.

Threats to quit are not worthwhile, IMHO. HR knows you are unhappy .

Howdy,

To a degree, I agree.

Threats only work if you are willing to back them up.
I agree that you kill your credibility with the threat
unless it is the truth. And, be ready to walk out
THAT DAY.

In my experience, if I had to threaten to leave it is
usually time to do so. However, it is still an option
if someone is willing to deal with the consequences.

To Sean: hope you don't mind, but I sent my reply to
your private email to the group. I believe you made a
good point that others need to see.
