Well, it is finally time I jump in here. And I will regret it but I am
having a good morning...

Indexes are the primary way people find information in a book. It doesn't
matter if the book is brilliantly or badly organized, they still use the
index to find stuff. You know this because you are a user and it is how you
find stuff too. Therefore, the index is very important as the means our
readers use to find the brilliant and well organized words we write.

| An index is only that useful when the content of the
| book itself is so bad that it doesn't make sense.
| How is needing a section of the book to find a section
| of the book a good thing.
| Don't get me wrong...indexes are important...only
| because books are structured so poorly. If the book
| was arranged well, the index wouldn't be needed.
