Keep the status quo. It's clear, and reinforces both what the users sees
and READS (assuming the dialog box has a title at the top). Many boxes
like this are so similar, to just say "the following dialog" appears isn't
necessarily that helpful, but if they read the title at the top and it
corresponds with the instructions, they'll think "Ah, that's the right
box."

But in the interest of clarity, aren't these called dialog BOXES? I've
never seen them referred to simply as dialogs.
