I'm curious about two things. 1. Is this still advice you hear today, in
IT? 2. If you've heard this advice (or maybe if you haven't) do folks know
(or want to speculate) as to _why_ that advice is considered sound?
Basic fact of life - Be careful whose toes you step on today, they may be connected to the a** you have to kiss tomorrow.
Your old managers didn't die and they don't stay at the same place forever. A couple of bosses I have had in the past (that I absolutely despised) turned up a few years later in other organizations where I was working.
