I haven't addressed it personally, but I do remember that the Windows
Installer used to give estimates of how long it would take to perform an
installation. It often took *less* time than Microsoft said it would, which
was icing on the cake. I thought it was pretty cool to include the figure in
the first place. Maybe you can give the 20-30 minute estimate and then, next
to each of the six section headers, you can include a parenthetical estimate
of how long the step will take. For example:

Plunking the DooDad (6 minutes)
1.
2.
3.

Chomping the Whirlygig (5 minutes)
1.
2.
3.

Smurfing the Smurfberry (3 minutes)
...
