The main reason that you haven't heard of it much is that it
really isn't very useful. Most people who use Outlook tend
to have one or another of the preview options enabled, so
the message is flagged as read/seen as soon as it hits the
Inbox.

If the recipient receives their mail through a MS Exchange server -
and the recipient has not yet opened Outlook while that msg is on that
server -
then the message can be retrieved before the person starts Outlook.

I have actually used this and it worked and I think I even rcd a msg
saying "retrieval successful."
