I found this, and it convinced me:

http://blogs.technet.com/b/security/archive/2013/08/15/the-risk-of-running-windows-xp-after-support-ends.aspx

Individual users will be at lower risk than corporate users, but even so, I think it's an unknown unknown. Better safe.

Hello Dan,
First, let's consider the fact that the last stable release of XP was in 2008, that is, Windows XP SP3.

Here is the hotfix list for SP3: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946480
Since 5 years ago, AFAIK, there haven't been many serious hotfixes released.

I am not absolutely certain this is a complete list of post SP3 hotfixes: http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack-sp3.html
And another: https://blogs.technet.com/b/yongrhee/archive/2011/06/12/list-of-post-sp3-related-hotfixes-for-windows-xp-sp3.aspx?Redirected=true
or here? http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/7118-xpsp3-qfe-updatepack-for-windows-xp-post-sp3-20140311/

Strange, it is seems rather difficult to get an official list of post SP3 hotfixes. :~]
